How do the new PREP suns adhere to the Hawaii Treaty?

Modified on Wed, 24 May 2023 at 10:59 AM

From 2021, Hawaii's treaty bans certain types of sunscreens, which are considered harmful because of their strong impact on the islands' marine life. Specifically, these are sunscreens that have two filters within them that are considered harmful: oxybenzone and octinoxate. With its new line of sunscreens, Prep has pledged to safeguard the marine ecosystem by removing these two filters from its formulas. The ban applies for now only in Hawaii.
